What have I been up to

Music madness and the hustle - It's been a hectic year. Cameron Music has been busy on the grind. I find it interesting how busy this industry keeps you yet at the same time trying to predict and set aside time to pursue opportunities as they may arise can almost drive one mad. Opportunties certainly dictate in this business. One of the bands I manage, "Jabon" has just been signed to a phenomenal deal! I'm excited!! Especially since I officially picked this band up in March of 2007 - Cameron Music's first official national project. Although Cameron Music Group had major influence in shopping/negotiating and securing the National Distribution & Marketing/Promotion Deal (Look for the official press release in the next few weeks with the details) Jesse Richardson leader of the band Jabon is such a hardworking, confident, persistent artist (so I naturally couldn't take all the credit - Kudos to Jesse!!) Look's like 2008 will be another awesome year.

I've been struggling with whether or not to go ahead with the Cameron Music Group Talk Show that was originally scheduled to start airing early November 2007. With the recent Jabon deal - I understand that my tasks as their manager may be more demanding at this point and my priority is to make sure that the Label that my band is signed to stays happy. I'm not confident at this stage whether or not the talk show would interfere with that effort. Although it's still kind of early to determine whether it will or not. I may go ahead shortly with that project as well. I'll keep you posted.

In the meantime, I'm grooming a young hip hop production company named N.O.B. Productions (Nation on Business) all currently under 21 years of age, aggressive and real and they do mean they are a Nation on Business and it reflects in everything they do from establishing relationships, building markets to creating music. Another great act from the Chi.
